“자세히 보아야 예쁘다
오래 보아야 사랑스럽다”

우리는 종종 없는 것은 크게 보고,
이미 가진 것은 작게 보는 성향이 있다.

받지 못한 것은 오래 기억하면서
이미 받은 사랑은 쉽게 잊어버리기도 한다.

그러나 감사는 무언가를 더 받는 데서 시작되기보다

오히려 이미 받은 것을 다시 보는 데서 시작된다.

“You have to look closely to see its beauty.
You have to look for a long time to find it lovely.”

We often tend to magnify what we do not have

and overlook the value of what we already have.

We remember for a long time what we did not receive,
yet easily forget the love we have already been given.

But gratitude does not begin with receiving more.

Rather, gratitude begins when we look again
at what we have already received.
